With the EvoFilm Stretch machine, Sidel has developed a future-ready technology for secondary packaging – without the need for a shrink tunnel. While shrink film is still widely used today, stretch wrapping technology delivers significantly better results. Instead of relying on an energy-intensive shrink tunnel, Sidel uses a compact machine architecture that conserves resources and speeds up processes. The wrapping process takes place at ambient temperature, with no heat required. The stretch film is mechanically applied around the product, conserving resources and reducing operating costs. Another advantage: The machine handles a wide variety of pack shapes at up to 80 packs per minute and can be flexibly integrated into existing lines thanks to its modular design. Recycled films can also be used without issue – a plus for sustainability and future viability.

EvoFilm Stretch offers clear advantages compared to a traditional shrink wrapper: a reduction in film consumption of more than 50% and a reduction in electricity consumption of more than 90%. This is due to the fact that this technology does not require a shrink oven.
